Story: The crowd was ignited at the Breslin Center as the rivalry match-up between the Spartans and the Wolverines made history. It was the first time the teams have met ranked in the top ten. With all the talk surrounding the game, it was expected to be a close one. But it wasn't.
Taking control early, Michigan State dominated throughout the whole game. The Spartans led by 14 at the half and extended that lead at one point in the second half to 31 points. MSU continued to shine on defense, only Tim Hardaway Jr. to score just two points the entire night. With great effort and improvement off the bench from Matt Costello, Alex Guana and Denzel Valentine, the Spartans crushed the Wolverines 75-52.
