Michigan State welcomed back two former players as honorary captains today.
One was ex-defensive lineman Shilique Calhoun. The other was former quarterback Connor Cook.
A lot of Spartan fans are finding it ironic that Cook was an honorary captain. He famously was never elected captain during his time in East Lansing, and it drew him some negative attention leading up to the NFL Draft.
Maybe Cook and Calhoun provided some spark on the sideline. Michigan State is thrashing Rutgers, 49-0, in the fourth quarter.
