Michigan State Announces Full Non-Conference Schedules Through 2020

Michigan State football has completed its football schedules through the 2020 season, and has full dates for 2018 and 2019. The program announced the full schedules today.

In 2018, Michigan State brings in Group of Five programs Utah State and Central Michigan to East Lansing, and travels to Arizona State.

Sept. 1: vs. Utah State
Sept. 8: at Arizona State
Sept. 22: at Indiana
Sept. 29: vs. Central Michigan
Oct. 6: vs. Northwestern
Oct. 13: at Penn State
Oct. 20: vs. Michigan
Oct. 27: vs. Purdue
Nov. 3: at Maryland
Nov. 10: vs. Ohio State
Nov. 17: at Nebraska
Nov. 24: vs. Rutgers

Michigan State gets Arizona State at home with the return game in 2019, and also hosts Tulsa and Western Michigan, giving it three home non-conference opponents.

Aug. 31: vs. Tulsa
Sept. 7: vs. Western Michigan
Sept. 14: vs. Arizona State
Sept. 21: at Northwestern
Sept. 28: vs. Indiana
Oct. 5: at Ohio State
Oct. 12: at Wisconsin
Oct. 26: vs. Penn State
Nov. 9: vs. Illinois
Nov. 16: at Michigan
Nov. 23: at Rutgers
Nov. 30: vs. Maryland

The full dates for Big Ten games for the 2020 season are not yet set, but we do know who Michigan State will be playing in the non-conference, and dates for those three games.

Sept. 12: at BYU
Sept. 19: vs. Toledo
Sept. 26: vs. Miami

That means Michigan State will likely open with a Big Ten opponent in 2020.

The program also listed other future games. On September 18, 2021, the team makes a return trip to Miami. On September 17, 2022, the Spartans head to Boise State, and host the Broncos on September 16, 2023.
