Michigan State G Denzel Valentine Received Call From Magic Johnson After Triple-Double

Michigan State guard Denzel Valentine did it all Tuesday night for the Spartans as they upset No. 4 Kansas, 79-73, during the Champions Classic in Chicago, Illinois.

It was a special night for Valentine, as his triple double - 29 points, 12 assists and 12 rebounds - etched him in the history books at MSU, placing him alongside Spartans greats Draymond Green, Charlie Bell and Magic Johnson as the only players to do so in program history. But Valentine's night would get even better.

According to Mlive.com, Valentine received a congratulatory call from Johnson after the game.

It was quite the performance from Valentine, but it was only half the story for the senior guard.
