Michigan State is off to a torrid start to the season, sitting at 12-0 and No. 1 in both polls. The Spartans have a bit of a storm to weather over the next few weeks now, with the news that star guard Denzel Valentine will miss 2-3 weeks. Michigan State made that announcement today.
Denzel Valentine is out 2-3 weeks after undergoing a mild arthroscopic procedure on his left knee Monday a.m.

Valentine leads the team in minutes (30.6), scoring (18.6 points per game), rebounds (8.3 per game), assists (7.1), and steals (1.0). He is a player of the year candidate, and will be missed as MSU faces off with Oakland, Iowa, Minnesota, and Illinois during the stretch that he could potentially miss.
