This Saturday, Michigan State will take the field for the first time since its demoralizing second-half collapse against Oregon back on September 6. The Spartans, however, won't be facing nearly the same kind of test. Eastern Michigan, sitting at 1-2 on the season, comes to town for an afternoon affair.
The Eagles won their first game of season, knocking off Morgan State in a close contest, but haven't fared as well since. EMU was blown out by Florida, 65-0, and handled by Old Dominion, 17-3. Barring a gigantic upset, they're probably going to move to 1-3 after this Saturday's game.

Location: Spartan Stadium (East Lansing, MI)
Betting Line: Michigan State -45.5 via 5Dimes
Prediction: Michigan State is favored by 45.5 points, which makes this game very difficult to wager on. The Spartans should have no trouble moving the ball against the Eagles. Connor Cook, who has thrown five touchdowns against two interceptions thus far this year, won't be facing nearly the kind of secondary that Oregon puts out there. Still, you'd expect MSU to run the ball with Jeremy Langford and establish dominance on the ground first.
The Spartans defense may have looked human against Oregon, but the Ducks have arguably the best offense in the country. Expect Michigan State to have no trouble slowing down Eastern Michigan - a team that has scored three points in its last two games combined.
We'll take Michigan State to win the game, but Eastern Michigan to cover the ridiculously high spread.
