Saturday's game between Michigan State and Northwestern will feature two Big Ten schools trying to avoid a second loss. The Spartans are trying to get over their recent loss to Arizona State, while the Wildcats will look to re-establish themselves in the Big Ten West hunt.

Coming off a heartbreaking loss at home to the Sun Devils, Michigan State now hits the road to take on a well-rested Northwestern team.

Northwestern's season-opener was a road loss to Stanford. The Wildcats quickly recovered with a convincing win over UNLV before getting a bye last week.

But despite the clear advantages Northwestern has, the oddsmakers expect Michigan State to win this game by more than a touchdown.

Here are the details for the Michigan State-Northwestern game:

Game Time: 12:00 PM ET

Channel: ABC

Spread: Michigan State -9.5

Over/Under: 38.5

Announcers: Dave Pasch, Greg McElroy, Tom Luginbill

The Wildcats are currently riding a three-game winning streak against the Spartans. Two of those wins came in East Lansing.

But Michigan State head coach Mike Dantonio has actually done an even better job beating Northwestern in Evanston. He's won five of his last six games at Ryan Field.

Fortunately for both schools, a loss this weekend wouldn't necessarily be the end of their Big Ten title ambitions. But it would certainly be a bad look moving forward.
