Miles Bridges Likely To Return For Rutgers Game, Per Tom Izzo

Miles Bridges, Michigan State's star freshman, is set to return from injury for Wednesday's Spartans game against Rutgers according to head coach Tom Izzo.

Bridges, averaging 16.6 points and 8.8 rebounds per game for Michigan State, has missed the Spartans' last seven games. A few weeks ago, it was reported that he was out of his walking boot, a good sign that his recovery was progressing nicely. Now, he should be suiting up for Wednesday's game against the Scarlet Knights.

Michigan State got off to a rocky start to the year, but has picked up two big wins in conference at Minnesota and against a hot Northwestern team to start Big Ten play. Both of those have come without Bridges and key senior Gavin Schilling. At 10-5, Michigan State has serious work to do, but if the Spartans get healthy, they can become very dangerous.

Michigan State and Rutgers tip off at the Breslin Center at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4.
