Michigan State landed a verbal commitment this afternoon from Ohio defensive back Austin Andrews. Andrews' pledge was the eighth for MSU in 2016 and the first one for the Spartans since tight end Noah Davis committed on April 26. At the time, Davis was the fifth recruit in a span of five days to pick the Michigan State.
Erial (N.J.) Timber Creek four-star wide receiver Cam Chambers verballed to MSU last August, and the latest recruiting developments for his future program have him excited. First, he welcomed Andrews to the fold on Twitter.
Next, he apologized for the two-week drought in commitments and hinted that more are on the way.
One minute later, Chambers responded to 2017 Ohio State running back commit Todd Sibley, who had taken notice of the run the Spartans have been on.
">@ToddSib23 Lol bro we got so many more of the way it's crazy! #StayTuned

All of this from Chambers has to be music to Spartan fans ears. Right now, MSU's 2016 recruiting class ranks third in the Big Ten and 20th overall per 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
