Nebraska vs. Michigan State - Game Time, TV Schedule, Line, Preview, Predictions

The 2014 Big Ten Championship Game will take place in early December at Lucas Oil Stadium. The two teams that will be meeting in Indianapolis, Ind. on Dec. 6 might be the ones facing off in East Lansing, Mich. this Saturday.

Nebraska and Michigan State, the conference's most impressive teams through the first month of the season, will meet at Spartan Stadium Saturday night. It's a matchup that pits the Big Ten's best offense, led by Heisman candidate Ameer Abdullah, against the conference's best defense, led by future first-round draft pick Shilique Calhoun.

It should be a great one.

Date: Saturday, Oct. 4

Time: 8 p.m. E.T.

Location: Spartan Stadium, East Lansing, Mich.

TV Channel: ABC

Line: Michigan State -7 (via vegasinsider)

Prediction: Last season, Nebraska came close to beating what many believe to be Michigan State's best team ever. The Huskers fell to the Spartans, 41-28, but if not for the five turnovers had by Bo Pelini's squad, Nebraska would have likely been victorious.

Nebraska has what it takes to upset the Spartans in East Lansing. Tommy Armstrong is a year older and a bit better with his ball security, and the Huskers will have the best player on the field in Ameer Abdullah. As long as Nebraska doesn't have a turnover-prone repeat of 2013, the Huskers will remain undefeated Saturday night and notch a major victory.
