Photos: It Appears Michigan Fans Threw Blue & Maize Paint Balloons At MSU's Spartan Statue

Yesterday, the famous Magic Johnson statue at Michigan State was vandalized, supposedly by Michigan fans, ahead of this Saturday's football game between the Spartans and the Wolverines. Apparently, it wasn't the only attempt to damage MSU property this week.

Early Friday morning, someone reportedly threw blue and maize paint balloons at Michigan State's Spartan statue. A number of guards who were on the scene posted photos - one claims that they came from a moving car.

According to the guards, no paint got on the statue. So technically, the perpetrators failed.

At this point, Michigan State students are probably ready for the game to hurry up and get here. Everyone will get a lot more sleep afterwards - regardless of the outcome.
