Michigan State's Riley Bullough Ejected After Targeting Called, 3 Personal Fouls In 11 Minutes

Riley Bullough's night is over just 11 minutes into Michigan State's game at Maryland.

In that short time, the Spartan linebacker racked up three personal foul calls, including a targeting penalty which got him ejected from the game. It was a pretty clear helmet-to-helmet hit.

Bullough has been out with a shoulder injury for much of the season, so you would think that playing time would be at a premium. Instead, he played a pretty reckless 11 minutes before getting tossed. The other two penalties were for roughing the passer, and a hit out of bounds on a Maryland receiver who was clearly off of the field.

Michigan State is looking to get off of the schneid after falling to 2-4 with a four-game losing streak, but the Spartans are struggling in College Park. They trail the Terrapins 14-7 mid-way through the second quarter, and will be without Bullough, a crucial fifth-year senior linebacker, for the duration of the contest.
