Nik Stauskas is a player that's reportedly been rising in the minds of NBA teams. The former Michigan star is expected to be a lottery pick in tonight's NBA Draft.
In an interview with SLAMonline.com, the sharpshooter answered a number of wide ranging questions, including one that resulted in an answer about Michigan State's Adreian Payne.
Payne, Stauskas and Michigan's Mitch McGary all are represented by sports' agent Mark Bartelstein and have been doing their pre-draft workouts together in Chicago.
In an interview with MLive.com, Payne spoke of the newfound friendship.
“We’re close friends,” Payne said of Stauskas. “Our rivalry, we still talk about it, we joke around with it. We’ll be out to eat dinner or lunch and people will come up to us and say ‘Go Blue’ and ‘Go Green.’ They just enjoy that we’re together.”
Stauskas, Payne, and McGary are all potential first round selections. The NBA Draft starts tonight at 8 p.m., broadcast on ESPN.
