Draymond Green paid up a friendly wager to a fellow former Big Ten star last night.
Apparently, Draymond and Portland Trail Blazers guard Evan Turner bet on their alma maters this season. Green went to Michigan State while Turner is an Ohio State alum.
Ohio State thumped Sparty 48-3 in football in November. The result wasn't that surprising, but the final score may have been.
The basketball matchup between these teams was more stunning, as Ohio State beat then-No. 1 MSU 80-64 in January. Even with Ohio State proving itself to be a legit Big Ten contender this season, Michigan State has lost only three times.
Last night, following the Blazers' 123-117 win over the Warriors, Turner interrupted Green's media interview to collect his winnings.
"Thank you my good man," Turner says in the video. "Always a pleasure. Big Ten for life. You keep it classy."
Green was a good sport about it all.
Will there be another Michigan State-Ohio State game for these two to bet on in the upcoming Big Ten Tournament? Let's look at the standings.
Currently, Ohio State is atop the leaderboard, with Michigan State at No. 2. If they both finish in these spots, they wouldn't play each other until the Big Ten title game.
The 2018 Big Ten Tournament will be played at Madison Square Garden in New York from Feb 28-Mar 4.
