This weekend features a handful of rivalry games, which includes a showdown between Notre Dame and Michigan. Since the Wolverines are coming off yet another loss, all eyes will be on Jim Harbaugh as he tries to right the ship.

Michigan suffered a crushing loss to Penn State this past weekend. The defense gave up so many points in the first half that the Nittany Lions built an insurmountable lead.

As for Notre Dame, the Fighting Irish are coming off their bye week. It came at the perfect time as the team narrowly defeated the USC Trojans at home in their most recent game.

There's no denying that Notre Dame is playing better football than Michigan this season. Nonetheless, there have been a lot of predictions leaning in the Wolverines' favor.

Every week, Ralph D. Russo of the Associated Press makes his predictions for the biggest games in college football.

Russo is rolling with Michigan this Saturday. He has the Wolverines winning 23-20 over the Fighting Irish.

The reason that Russo is siding with Michigan for this game is that he believes Harbaugh's team will come out with a sense of urgency.

A loss for Notre Dame would end any hope the program has of making the College Football Playoff. On the other hand, Michigan can't really afford to lose back-to-back games.
