Michigan may have taken a step back on the college football gridiron this season, but UM students have plenty to be happy about on campus, according to a new study.
WalletHub released a pretty exhaustive ranking of the best college towns in the United States, and Ann Arbor comes ahead on top.
The site measured three main factors—”wallet friendliness,” social environment, and academic and economic opportunities—and ranked each on a 100-point scale for each town. Those factors included measures like cost of living, nightlife options, crime, quality of higher education, and the number of students per capita.
Ann Arbor came out ahead with all three factors included. Here is the full top 10:
- Ann Arbor, MI
- Orlando, FL
- Rexburg, ID
- Provo, UT
- Austin, TX
- Las Vegas, NV
- Scottsdale, AZ
- West Lafayette, IN
- Tampa, FL
- San Diego, CA
