Ann Arbor Ruth's Chris hosted Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh for his discounted steak dinner tonight.
The restaurant ran a "Score Big" promotion for this weekend's Michigan-Rutgers game, offering a discount on dinner equal to the amount of points that the Wolverines won by, starting at 20. Michigan won 78-0.
Luckily for the restaurant, the deal was capped at 50-percent, but its still a pretty great deal. Head coach Jim Harbaugh made sure to take advantage, as he said he would, tonight. The man loves his steak. It is an essential vitamin, after all.
Harbaugh, his wife Sarah, and Buzz Goebel, the general manager of the Ann Arbor Ruth's Chris, snapped a photo from the meal.
Also of note: Harbaugh's drink of choice. Of course, it had to be milk. Harbaugh is now a milk spokesman, starring in a commercial a few weeks ago.
We're not sure if Ruth's Chris will try out this promotion any more this year, or if they can afford to. The restaurant certainly got a ton of publicity after Michigan's 78-0 drubbing of the Scarlet Knights, but the Wolverines are winning by an average of 39.7 points per game this season. That's a lot of free food.
This Saturday, Michigan football is on bye, so Jim Harbaugh's club will not be costing the Ann Arbor Ruth's Chris anything next weekend.
