Brady Hoke Says He Will Name Michigan's Starting Quarterback On Tuesday

Could Shane Morris finally earn Michigan's starting quarterback job over Devin Gardner? We'll find out on soon, as Wolverines' head coach Brady Hoke announced today that he will name Michigan's starting quarterback for the team's matchup with Minnesota on Tuesday.

The much-maligned Gardner came into this season as UM's starter, and carried high expectations, but so far has struggled. The senior has only thrown for 694 yards, five touchdowns and six interceptions in four games, and has looked terrible in the team's losses against Notre Dame and Utah (337 yards, no touchdowns, five interceptions).

The other option is former four-star recruit Morris. While the sophomore has also struggled in limited playing time this season-- 7-for-20, no touchdowns, one interception -- Morris is an incredibly talented prospect, and would be a breath of fresh air for an offense that has struggled in 2014.

While Hoke is not sure who will line up under center this week, he is positive about one thing: he would prefer that the man that starts the game at quarterback plays the entire contest.
