Brady Hoke Says True Freshman DB Jabrill Peppers Will Be Michigan's Punt Returner

Ever since he committed to Michigan, Jabrill Peppers had heard the Charles Woodson comparisons from Wolverine fans.

Peppers, a five-star recruit in the 2014 class, is thought to be as athletically gifted as Woodson, a former Wolverine defensive back who also played offense, winning the 1997 Heisman. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound true freshman likely won't be playing offense for the Wolverines this fall, but he will be touching the football on a regular basis.

Brady Hoke announced Friday that the cornerback will also be Michigan's starting punt returner.

Peppers, who reportedly runs a 4.4. in the 40-yard dash, will surely be one of the country's most exciting returners.

Michigan opens the season Aug. 30 against Appalachian State.
