One of the top defensive recruits in the 2020 class announce his commitment on Friday afternoon

Earlier this week, Braiden McGregor, the No. 4 defensive end in the 2020 class per 247Sports' Composite Rankings, announced he was shutting down his recruitment and he knew where he wanted to play his collegiate ball.

Just a few days later, McGregor pleased one fanbase by announcing his intentions to play for their football program.

So, where is he headed?

Well, the Michigan native decided Ann Arbor is the place for him. He'll be joining the Wolverines to play for head coach Jim Harbaugh.

McGregor is ranked the No. 87 player in the 2020 class by 247Sports' Composite Rankings. He's the No. 3 player from the state of Michigan.

Before announcing his commitment to Jim Harbaugh and company, McGregor was reportedly down to Michigan and Notre Dame as potential landing spots.

Michigan consistently ranks among the nation's elite defenses under defensive coordinator Don Brown and that's not likely to change in the near future as the Wolverines land top defensive talent.

The Wolverines held the No. 5 class in the Big Ten and the No. 18 class in the 2020 recruitment cycle before adding the top defensive end.
