The Michigan Wolverines open the season in just a few days. No. 14 Michigan takes on No. 12 Notre Dame in South Bend in a massive non-conference battle.

Before the two teams take the field, the Wolverines received a special message from their former quarterback. Denard Robinson took to Twitter with a message for the team.

Check it out.

Robinson still holds numerous Michigan and NCAA records following his time as the team's quarterback. A prolific runner, Robinson was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars where he moved to the running back position.

Michigan now fields another dual-threat quarterback. Shea Patterson might not be the runner Robinson was, but his ability as a passer could put the Wolverines in a great spot to win the Big Ten.

It all starts on Saturday afternoon as the Wolverines travel to South Bend to take on a motivated Fighting Irish team.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and the game will be broadcast on NBC.
