With college football season set to kick off on August 24, ESPN has been revealing a number of team-specific promos leading up to kickoff. The latest one to be released is for the Michigan Wolverines.
The 30-second spot focuses on the gameday atmosphere at the Big House, including the fans, the band and the players. At the end, it reminds fans that Michigan, Jim Harbaugh and Michigan Stadium are all back starting in just a few weeks.
So far, it looks like ESPN has only released promos for Oklahoma, Alabama and Michigan.
The spot is titled “Michigan returns with Big Ten title hopes.”
A year ago, Michigan lost a close game to Notre Dame before ripping off 10 straight victories heading into the Ohio State game. The Wolverines struggled in that game, falling 62-39. They later lost the Peach Bowl to Florida.
This year, Michigan is considered the favorite to win the Big Ten and finally get its first win over Ohio State in the Harbaugh era. Whether that will happen remains to be seen.
Michigan’s 2019 season will kick off against Middle Tennessee on August 31.
