Two titans in the Big Ten will battle this afternoon when No. 7 Michigan hosts No. 19 Wisconsin to finish the season series.
Wisconsin handed Michigan its first loss of the season back in January. All it took was a second-half surge for the upset to go down in Madison.
Both teams have been trending in different directions of late, as the Badgers enter this matchup with momentum on their side. They are currently riding a six-game winning streak that features victories over Maryland, Minnesota and Nebraska.
As for the Wolverines, John Beilein will try to get his team back to its winning way. Despite dominating Rutgers on Tuesday, Michigan did lose by double digits last week to Iowa.
One of the biggest factors will be how each team’s respective stars play in this second meeting.
Ethan Happ is averaging 18.3 points and 10.4 rebounds for the Badgers, meanwhile Ignas Brazdeikis is leading the Wolverines in scoring with 15.5 points per contest.
Now that Michigan has home-court advantage on its side, ESPN’s matchup predictor is giving the Wolverines a 67 percent chance of winning the game.
Michigan will be seeking revenge and the chance to extend its cushion in the conference standings.
Tipoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. ET from Crisler Center.
The game will be available on FOX.
