Michigan's Moe Wagner and DJ Wilson remain in the NBA Draft process.
After helping to lead the Wolverines to the Sweet 16, Michigan big men Moe Wagner and DJ Wilson declared for the NBA Draft without hiring an agent. Therefore, they both have the option to return to school.
The two players have until May 24 to withdraw from the draft, according to NCAA rules.
On a conference call with reporters today, ESPN basketball insider Jeff Goodman offered two vastly different projections for each player. According to Goodman, the scuttlebutt indicates that Wagner should definitely return to school, while Wilson could be picked in the first round.
Now, assuming both players are hearing the same things that Goodman is, it would make sense for Wagner to withdraw his name. Wilson would have to decide if a first-round guarantee is enough to stick it out, instead of playing at Michigan next year and trying to improve his stock.
The 2017 NBA Draft will be held June 22.
