Former Michigan 4-Star WR Has Reportedly Entered The Transfer Portal
It was another disappointing season for the Michigan Wolverines, who went 9-3 on the season and lost yet again to arch-rival Ohio State. But while the team prepares for their Citrus Bowl clash with Alabama, at least one Michigan player appears to want out.
According to ESPN's Tom VanHaaren, former four-star wide receiver Tarik Black has entered the NCAA transfer portal. The junior wide receiver had a career-high 23 receptions for 323 yards and a touchdown in 11 appearances for Michigan.
Back in 2017, 247Sports rated Black as the No. 116 overall prospect in the country. He was the No. 15 wide receiver in the nation that year, and the No. 1 prospect from the state of Connecticut.
But unlike fellow 2017 enrollee Donovan Peoples-Jones, Black has struggled to secure his place in the starting lineup.
Black should have little-to-no problem finding a program where he can find his stride in his final years of eligibility.
As for Michigan, losing Black could hurt, especially if Peoples-Jones decides to take his talents to the NFL after the season.
The Wolverines' top three receivers all have at least one year of eligibility left - plenty of time for Jim Harbaugh and the staff to find a suitable replacement for Black if need be.
