The mystery of what number star freshman Jabrill Peppers will wear at Michigan this season appears to be over.
The Wolverines' official roster for 2014 was released yesterday. Peppers, the five-star recruit rated as a top 10 player nationally in the 2014 class, will wear No. 5. Blake Countess, a junior defensive back, will wear No. 2, Charles Woodson's former number many expected Peppers to sport.
Peppers has been linked to Woodson, the 1997 Heisman winner, since he pledged to the Wolverines. Brady Hoke said recently that Peppers--like Woodson--could see playing time on both sides of the ball.
Michigan opens its 2014 season Aug. 30 against Appalachian State in Ann Arbor.
