While today's generation of college hoops features teams that have plenty of young talent, the most iconic faction over the past few decades might just be the Fab Five.
This stacked recruiting class for the Michigan Wolverines featured Jalen Rose, Chris Webber, Jimmy King, Juwan Howard and Ray Jackson. Many believe it's the best collection of freshmen talent in NCAA history.
Between their storylines on and off the hardwood, the Fab Five turned into must-see television. Despite not winning a national championship during their time together, Michigan made back-to-back trips to the national championship.
ESPN went on to film a tremendous documentary on the Fab Five, but Chris Webber didn't participate in any of the interviews.
Fortunately enough, the reunion that most Michigan fans want to see come to fruition might be happening in the near future.
Rose hinted at a potential reunion between the Fab Five during his discussion with the Detroit Free Press, saying "Don’t be surprised if it happens sooner than people realize."
There is no confirmation that a reunion is on the horizon, but it's hard to dismiss Rose's comments. His remarks do indicate that Webber would join his teammates this time around.
After years of dealing with question surrounding their relationships with once-close teammates, the Wolverines could clear the air with this potential gathering.
