Jim Harbaugh and Michigan football disappointed fans yet again on Saturday. In a rivalry game against Michigan State, the Wolverines struggled to slow down the Mel Tucker-led Spartans, falling 27-24 at home in the Big House.

It's no secret that Michigan has struggled to come out on top in big division games during Harbaugh's stint with the program. But after another loss against a huge underdog, the college football world couldn't contain their dismay with the team's performance.

With the loss, the Wolverines are now 1-6 at home vs. Michigan State and Ohio State since Harbaugh took over in 2015.

Naturally, calls for Michigan to part ways with the sixth-year head coach started anew.

The one game that Harbaugh's Wolverines have won at home against a rival came last year against Michigan State. Michigan obliterated the Spartans 44-10 in an expected win. Michigan State opted to part ways with Mark Dantonio just a few weeks after the team's loss and yet another disappointing season.

But the Spartans and new head coach Mel Tucker got revenge on Saturday. Michigan State quarterback Rocky Lombardi threw for 323 yards and three touchdowns as the group won by a field goal.

Harbaugh remains notorious for not winning big games while at Michigan. The Wolverines have never beaten Ohio State during Harbaugh's tenure and have, quite frankly, been embarrassed on multiple occasions. Their most recent failure to dethrone the Buckeyes came last year in a 56-27 blowout loss.

Michigan will look to get back on track and turn around their 1-1 start next week against No. 17 Indiana.
