Jim Harbaugh Hired The Mom Of A Stanford Graduate Transfer Considering Michigan
Jim Harbaugh will apparently go to extreme lengths to land a football player.
As originally pointed out by Nick Baumgardner of MLive.com, Harbaugh has hired the mom of a Stanford graduate transfer considering Michigan. Gwendolyn Bush, the mother of former Cardinals' cornerback Wayne Lyons, has been hired by Harbaugh to an athletics player development staff position.
From MLive.com's story:
Typically, a director of player development helps coordinate off-field activities for players, and helps them balance football, academics and other responsibilities throughout each year. Per her LinkedIn page, Bush was formerly an teacher/administrator in the Broward County Public School system in Florida.
Bush confirmed the news on Twitter on Feb. 4.

Lyons was originally recruited by Harbaugh's staff at Stanford in 2011, but the defensive back never played for the former Cardinal and current Michigan coach. At Stanford the past two seasons, Lyons has recorded 99 tackles and two interceptions. He's graduated from Stanford and has one year of playing eligibility remaining; he could play immediately in 2015.
Michigan's secondary played fairly well in 2014 and brings back a decent amount of its talent back. Adding Lyons could make the Wolverines' unit one of the best in the country in 2015.
