Florida just wrapped up a 41-15 win over Michigan in the Peach Bowl. The Gators led 13-10 at halftime and broke the game wide-open in the second half.
The win capped off a 10-3 season, the most wins for the Gators since 2015. There is plenty of room for growth for the program, but it wasn't a bad debut for head coach Dan Mullen.
Kirk Herbstreit has taken notice. He gave a shout-out to Florida on Twitter after the win.
"What a year for @GatorsFB!" Herbstreit wrote. "10 wins and top 10 finish in Dan Mullen’s 1st year!! Congrats Gators!"
Florida got an encouraging performance out of quarterback Feleipe Franks, who threw for 173 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 74 yards and another score.
If Franks can carry some of that over into next year, it would go a long way toward helping the Gators take the next step.
It wouldn't shock us if UF is a preseason top-10 team.
