Michigan AD Jim Hackett Releases Statement Regarding Threats Made Against Punter Blake O'Neill
Following Michigan's last-second loss to Michigan State Saturday night, a number of college football "fans" took to Twitter to vent their frustration by tweeting directly at punter Blake O'Neill, whose fumble led to the Spartans' game-winning score. Many users threatened O'Neill and urged him to commit suicide.
Sunday morning, Michigan interim AD Jim Hackett addressed the situation, releasing a statement on the matter. It's clear that the school isn't happy with the conduct of many of its supporters. Via Angelique Chengelis of The Detroit News:
