Michigan's football program is reportedly losing a former top recruit to a surprising transfer, according to a new report.

Stadium is reporting that Michigan five-star defensive lineman Aubrey Solomon has decided to transfer out of the Wolverines' program.

Solomon, a sophomore defensive lineman, was the No. 23 overall recruit in the country coming out of high school.

Brett McMurphy is reporting the news.

"Michigan sophomore DL Aubrey Solomon is transferring, source told WatchStadium," he tweeted.

This would be a significant loss for Michigan's program. He was one of the top recruits in the country coming out of high school. Solomon appears to have taken all Michigan references out of his social media profiles. "Aubrey Solomon has removed all references to Michigan from his Twitter, for what it's worth. Pretty big transfer. Solomon was the subject of a really heated recruiting battle. Played a bunch as a freshman, never quite got it going this year."

Stay tuned for an official announcement from Michigan.
