Michigan fans seem to want John O'Korn to replace Wilton Speight.
Michigan survived against Purdue on Saturday, despite starting quarterback Wilton Speight exiting the game in the first quarter after a nasty hit. Some Wolverines supporters are hoping Speight doesn't retain his job when he's healthy.
O'Korn, on the day, led Michigan on four touchdown-scoring drives. He finished the game 18-of-26 for 270 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Considering the red zone troubles the program was having the first few weeks (1 touchdown in 10 trips), that's a major upgrade.
Michigan fans are calling for O'Korn to replace Speight, regardless of injury.
Speight never returned to the game Saturday, and the team hasn't issued an update on his status. If he's going to be healthy two weeks from now, head coach Jim Harbaugh will have a decision to make.
