Michigan football landed a very special recruit last night.
Fifteen-year-old Larry Prout Jr. was signed by the Michigan football team as part of the program’s Team IMPACT “Draft Day” Ceremony. Team IMPACT is a Boston-based organization that focuses on “improving the quality of life for children facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses through the power of team.”
According to The Michigan Daily, Prout, a Howell, Mich. native, has undergone 93 surgeries in his lifetime for a variety of birth defects.
MLive.com has full video featuring Jim Harbaugh and Prout Jr. speaking to the assembled media. Wolverines quarterback John O’Korn was also on stage.

Props to the Michigan program for this. They gave this courageous young man a moment he will never forget.
