If you went away at halftime, assuming Michigan would pull away from Army in the second half of today’s game, you may want to get back to a TV. The Wolverines and Black Knights are tied at 14 with under seven minutes remaining in the game.
The good news is that Michigan managed to tie the game in the third quarter. Zach Charbonnet punched in his second touchdown of the game, late in the quarter.
The bad: Michigan may very well lose this game, which could be all it takes to knock the Wolverines from College Football Playoff contention. Michigan gave away a big opportunity to take the lead too.
On 4th-and-2 from the Army 19, Harbaugh elected to go for it rather than kick a very manageable field goal. After trying a 55-yarder instead of taking a shot at the end zone to end the half, his decision making on kicks has been very questionable.
Michigan fans are not having a great time at The Big House. They booed the team at the end of the half, and a set of absolutely exasperated fans got caught on camera after that failed 4th down conversion attempt.

Michigan held Army and got the ball back…only to stall out on 4th down again minutes later. On another 4th-and-2 from midfield, Michigan had no real choice but to go for it (or try a short punt).
Charbonnet was stuffed after a one yard gain. Once again, Michigan fans were having a bad time.

College football brings many things each fall, including really sad, viral fans. If Army is able to score the upset win, there will be plenty more where that came from.
