This Michigan formation is unlike anything we've seen before.
During a Michigan red zone drive against Wisconsin, Michigan came out in a bizarre (and obviously illegal) formation, in which all 11 players were lined up in a straight line. Michigan eventually reshuffled into a standard 'I Formation,' but not before all of Twitter blew up with Harbaugh's latest weird creation.
Not even Michigan football's Twitter account knew what to make of it.
If anything, this may have caused some confusion for Wisconsin in identifying defensive assignments. More likely: Jim Harbaugh just likes to be delightfully weird all the time.
That play turned out to be a five yard run by De'Veon Smith, which set up a one-yard touchdown run for Khalid Hill to put Michigan up 7-0 at The Big House early in the second quarter.
To this point, Michigan vs. Wisconsin has been a classic Big Ten slugfest. Michigan has outgained Wisconsin so far, 109 yards to 74, and just got the ball back after forcing a three-and-out.
