Video: Michigan's Grant Newsome Walks Without The Aid Of Crutches

Watch Michigan left tackle Grant Newsome walk without crutches for the first time since his devastating knee injury two months ago.

Two months after suffering a devastating knee injury during a game against Wisconsin, Michigan left tackle Grant Newsome is walking on his own without the aid of crutches.

Check it out below:

It's quite a welcome sight for Michigan fans everywhere.

Initially after the injury, head coach Jim Harbaugh was unsure if the sophomore from New Jersey would even be able to play again. Now, the timetable is much more optimistic, with Harbaugh saying a month ago that he hopes to have him back by the start of the 2017 season, as spring practice would probably be too early.

He told reporters in October, per mlive.com:

"That's the hope, that's the plan," Harbaugh said. "It might be a little later than (spring). ... You don't know until (the rehab process begins). But it's just a reminder of how injuries can be very serious in football. It's a reminder of just how violent the game can be and is.

Here's to hoping that the rest of Newsome's rehab goes smoothly, and he's able to suit up next fall for the Wolverines.
