Michigan senior linebacker Allen Gant still has one more year of eligibility left, but he won't be using it to return to the Wolverines in 2016. Gant, who played in eight games this past year as a reserve, announced on Twitter Friday morning that he has made the decision to move on with his career. Gant did not specify whether he'd be hanging up his cleats or transferring elsewhere to play one more year.
In his note, Gant thanked coach Brady Hoke for the scholarship offer and coach Jim Harbaugh for the past season. He also thanked Wolverines fans.
Gant totaled two tackles this past year, and saw action in 18 games over his Michigan career.
