Michigan took back the Paul Bunyan Trophy on Saturday, and the Wolverines celebrated with it in style.
Heading into Saturday, Michigan State had won seven of its last eight meetings with rival Michigan, which means that for seven of the last eight years, it's held the Paul Bunyan Trophy in its facility. But now, following a 32-23 Wolverines win, it's headed back to Ann Arbor.
After the contest, Michigan's players were seen celebrating with the hardware in their locker room. It's the first time Michigan has claimed the trophy since 2012.
Despite Michigan State's recent dominance, it's actually the Wolverines who own the series all-time. Michigan is now 69-35-5 in the in-state rivalry.
