NCAA President Mark Emmert Not A Fan Of Michigan Football's Spring Break Trip

Count NCAA President Mark Emmert among those against Michigan football's spring break trip to Florida.

In an interview with Josh Kendall of The State, Emmert voiced his opinion on Jim Harbaugh's planned voyage to the South to hold some spring football practices. The 63-year-old leader of the NCAA does not believe it's "OK."

Michigan will hold some of its spring practices at IMG Academy in Brandenton, Fla. over the university's spring break. The Wolverines are planning on holding four of their spring practices in Florida, starting on Feb. 29. The school's spring break begins Feb. 27.

Emmert's opposition to the trip likely stems from the thought that student-athletes shouldn't be forced to practice during one of their few weeks off from school.

The SEC is also opposed to the idea, but for different reasons
