We have an upset brewing in Evanston. Northwestern is taking it to No. 14 Michigan.

Early in the second quarter, the Wildcats just jumped out to a 17-0 lead. Rushing touchdowns from John Moten IV and Clayton Thorson plus a 45-yard field goal by Charlie Kuhbander have put Northwestern out in front.

Michigan, meanwhile, is struggling immensely on offense. The Wolverines have gained 21 yards on 12 plays so far.

Shea Patterson is just 3-of-6 for 15 yards. Karan Higdon has gained nine yards on three carries.

Michigan has won three in a row after losing its season opener against Notre Dame. They seemed to figure things out.

However, if they can't turn things around today, they will find themselves officially out of the College Football Playoff chase and in dire straits in the Big Ten.
