No. 3 seed Michigan takes on No. 7 seed Texas A&M in the Sweet 16 on Thursday night at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Tip time is TBD.

Preview: The third-seeded Wolverines were on the ropes against Houston on Saturday night. Trailing by two points with only seconds remaining, Michigan fouled Houston's Devin Davis. Davis missed both free throws though, and Michigan had another chance.

Then this happened.

Texas A&M had no such drama in its second-round game. The Aggies routed defending champ North Carolina 86-65.

Freshman guard TJ Starks led A&M with 21 points, with center Tyler Davis scoring 18 and grabbing nine boards. Big man Robert Williams added eight points and 13 rebounds of his own.

Date: Thursday, March 22

Game Time: 7:37 PM ET

Channel: TBS

Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA

Announcers: Kevin Harlan, Reggie Miller, Dan Bonner, Dana Jacobson

Opening Betting Line: Michigan by 3.5 points, per 5Dimes

Prediction: Michigan has been steady all year pretty much, winning the Big Ten Tournament and reaching another Sweet 16. They also have one of the top coaches in the country in John Beilein.

Texas A&M, meanwhile, appears to be rounding into form. They are huge and athletic and their guards played well against UNC.

This isn't a matchup many predicted for the Sweet 16, but it is a good one nonetheless. We'll roll with Michigan by four, but another upset from the Aggies wouldn't surprise us.
