Paul Finebaum is not impressed with Michigan fans this season. For the second time since the start of the year, the SEC Network host went in on Wolverines fans on his radio show.
Back in September, Finebaum asserted that the Michigan fan base is the most "pathetic" in the nation, complaining about Wolverines fans lack of knowledge about the game.
He reiterated that this week, calling Michigan fans completely unrealistic. To turn the knife even more, he compares them to Ohio State fans, who he believes are much more knowledgeable about the sport.
“There’s no comparison between Ohio State and Michigan fans,” Finebaum said. “Ohio State fans are very knowledgeable people. They understand, they are supportive. Michigan fans are from another planet. I’ve dealt with a lot of Ohio State fans, particularly a couple years ago after the Buckeyes beat Alabama. Ohio State fans at least know what they’re talking about.
“I don’t think they are nearly as knowledgeable as Ohio State fans when it comes to football IQ. I think they have gone all-in on Harbaugh…listen, Harbaugh is a good coach, but he hasn’t done anything yet at Michigan.”

Finebaum also knocked Michigan for their lack of championships, and took a jab at legendary coach Bo Schembechler, who never won a title during his 20 years in Ann Arbor.
Finebaum mostly focuses on the SEC, and has been knocked for being a homer of that league, but he is on record this season saying that he thinks the Big Ten is the best conference in college football this year. He's just not impressed with Wolverine fans at all, now that their program is nationally relevant once again.
If Jim Harbaugh's team keeps rolling, we expect Finebaum might be getting a few more callers from Ann Arbor.
