The newest version of Madden will have a very familiar face on it.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will grace the cover of Madden 18, it was announced this morning.
This is the second straight year a Patriot has been on the Madden cover. Tight end Rob Gronkowski had the honor last season.
Here is Madden's official trailer for its upcoming edition, along with the first look at the Brady cover, which seems to be designated "The G.O.A.T Edition."

For years, there was frequent talk about the "Madden Curse," as cover athletes seemed to either get hurt of have subpar seasons during the year they were featured. Recently, Adrian Peterson, Odell Beckham Jr. and Richard Sherman seemed to snap that hex.
However, Gronk struggled with injuries all last season, so perhaps the curse is back on. We'll see when Brady takes the field this fall.
For what it's worth, he doesn't seem too concerned about it.
They wouldn't let me break the full-length mirror... All good!
