Report: Michigan F D.J. Wilson Is Staying In The NBA Draft

Michigan is losing one star to the draft, while keeping another.

While Michigan big man Moritz Wagner announced earlier today that he is returning to school, teammate D.J. Wilson is reportedly staying in the NBA Draft.

Draft Express' Jonathan Givony reported this news moments ago.

Wilson was one of the breakout players of the 2016-17 season, as he averaged 11.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.3 assists per contest. He played in only five games as a freshman in 2014-15 before an injury ended his season. As a sophomore, Wilson averaged just 2.9 points and 0.8 rebounds in 6.6 minutes per appearance.

In three NCAA Tournament games, Wilson averaged 16 points, 4.4 rebounds and three blocks.

The latest Draft Express mock has Wilson going off the board at No. 30. Sports Illustrated, meanwhile, predicts he'll be gone with the No. 24 pick.
