Michigan has picked up a commitment from Kentucky guard transfer Charles Matthews, according to a report by ESPN's Jeff Goodman.

Matthews played in all 36 games for the Wildcats as a freshman last year, making three starts. He averaged 1.7 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.4 assists in 10.3 minutes per contest.
The 6-foot-6, 190-pound Matthews will sit out the 2016-17 season as per NCAA regulations and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Coming out of high school, Matthews was the 59th-rated player in the class of 2015 and a four-star prospect.
