">December 8, 2014

Longtime Beavers coach Mike Riley left the school on Dec. 4 to become Nebraska's head coach. In his 14 years in Corvallis, Riley compiled a 93-80 record.

Michigan fired Hoke after four years at the university on Dec. 2. Prior to joining the Wolverines, Hoke was the head coach at Ball State and San Diego State, and he has a career head coaching record of 78-70. He also has some ties to Oregon State, has Hoke was the school's defensive line coach from 1989 to 1994 under Dave Kragthorpe and Jerry Pettibone.

If Oregon State were to offer the job to Hoke and he accepted, make sure you circle Sept. 12, 2015 on your calendars, because the Beavers travel to Ann Arbor to take on Michigan.
