Wilton Speight goes to locker room at Purdue.

Michigan quarterback Wilton Speight has been taken to the locker room.

Michigan starting quarterback Wilton Speight took a nasty hit in the first quarter against Purdue and needed to be taken to the locker room for further evaluation. Speight was sandwiched between two Boilermaker defenders and had a tough time pulling himself off the turf afterwards.

Speight eventually found his way off the field and headed straight to the locker room. Backup signal-caller John O'Korn is now in for Speight.

Here's video of the play.

Update: Speight has been taken from the stadium for x-rays.

Hopefully, Speight is okay and returns to the contest. We'll keep you updated.
