Wisconsin vs. Michigan preview:
The Wisconsin Badgers enter the game significant underdogs and with a chip on their shoulder. No one is giving them respect, despite their top-ten ranking. The Wisconsin offense leaves something to be desired, but Redshirt freshman Alex Hornibrook played well and looked composed in his first start last week versus Michigan State, recording a tidy stat-line of 16-of-26 passing for 195 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He'll have to come up big for the Badgers this weekend against a stout defense.
The Michigan Wolverines have laid waste to their opponents so far this year, putting up at least 45 points each game while allowing 14 or less in three of the four. It's no surprise they're heavy favorites entering this week's matchup, despite a strong Wisconsin football squad coming to town.
The Wolverines don't really have a weakness, other than that this will be their first real contest this season. The Wolverines rushed for 326 yards and converted 11 of 16 third downs last week when they napped through the game against Penn State and won 49-10. They're scary good.
Wisconsin has won the last two match-ups between the two schools. Michigan's record is 49-14 when facing the Badgers.
Wisconsin vs. Michigan prediction:
Michigan survives its first true test of the season against a staunch Wisconsin defense. The Badgers are unable to move the ball and Hornibrook struggles early throwing a couple of picks, leading to great field position and easy scoring opportunities for the Wolverines. Michigan proves to be too much for the Badgers on both sides of the ball.
