Even with today’s loss to Ohio State, Jim Harbaugh is likely to be at Michigan for a long time. He says he has not been offered a ‘lifetime’ contract, however.
After the tough 31-20 loss to the Buckeyes, Harbaugh was asked about the reported deal.
Former Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn, now a college football analyst for FOX, reported that the school was nearing a lifetime deal to keep Harbaugh in Ann Arbor.
It was met with skepticism at the time, and Jim Harbaugh pretty much denied that it is true after today’s loss.

While not everyone is thrilled with everything Harbaugh has done, Michigan is recruiting very well, and rivalry games aside, has had quick success at Michigan. He hasn’t reached “lifetime contract” status yet, though. Few, if any, coaches get to that point. Still, he should be around for a while.
